The acceptance of digital currencies is still a tussle between trust and fraud; despite dozens of reputable reports, the global consumer is still reluctant to give them confidence, especially as they witnessed an irrational rise followed by a fall which caused heavy losses for those seeking adventure in FinTech.

In an interview with al-Watan newspaper, Dr. Fatima Alsebaie discussed her recent study on digital currencies titled, “The Impact of the COVID-19 Crisis on Central Bank Digital Currencies and Financial Technology”.
