A delegation from the Bahrain Center for Strategic, International and Energy Studies “Derasat”, headed by His Excellency Dr. Sheikh Abdullah bin Ahmed Al Khalifa, Chairman of the Board of Trustees, visited the Institute for the Future Consensus “Yusijeh” in the friendly Republic of Korea, where the delegation was received by Dr. Anna Joy, Director of the Institute.
During the visit, the Derasat delegation was briefed on the activities, events and programs of the Korean Institute, and ways to enhance research and scientific cooperation between the two institutions were also discussed.
The delegation participated in a panel discussion entitled “Industrial Development in Bahrain and Korea: Existing Experiences and Future Aspirations”. In this context, Dr. Sheikh Abdullah bin Ahmed Al Khalifa explained that industrial development is one of the most important pillars of comprehensive economic development, in addition to keeping pace with technological development and building competitive and dynamic capabilities, stressing that the Kingdom of Bahrain represents a regional center for digital transformation and new economic sectors based on innovation and knowledge.
