The study, titled “The Impact of Maritime Navigation Threats in Bab al-Mandab and the Red Sea on the Security of the Arabian Gulf States”, prepared by a group of researchers at the Bahrain Center for Strategic, International and Energy Studies (Derasat), provides an integrated vision of the dimensions of the impact of these threats in the short, medium, and long term from economic, geostrategic, and security perspectives. It also addresses the importance of these waterways in international trade routes and supply chains, as well as the necessity for consensus among regional and international parties on ways to confront such risks.
