The fourth Derasat forum to commence online on Monday, June 21st 2021, under the title of “Strategies to Attain Food Security: Challenges and Opportunities”.
The Fourth Derasat Annual Forum was held online from 21 – 23 June with a focus on food security. Experts shared policy and programme experience, presented recommendations to improve national and regional food security, and discussed the challenges and opportunities that lie ahead.
The Fourth Derasat Forum will host officials and experts in the field of food security in the Kingdom of Bahrain and abroad to study the options, alternatives, supply chains and opportunities available to meet food security requirements as an important component of national security.
As Bahrain works from a strategic perspective to address the most prominent challenges of the Covid-19 pandemic, one of the priorities is securing self-food security, the multiple aspects of which will be discussed in the upcoming Forum 2021.
A discussion that highlights how international trade growth can be a double-edged sword when it comes to food security.

Derasat announced that its fourth annual Derasat Forum for this year is titled, “Food Security Fulfilment Strategies: Challenges and Opportunities”, will be held from 21 to 23 June 2021 by videoconference.
