When the history of the press in the Kingdom of Bahrain is reviewed, the English-language press is rarely talked about, and when it is mentioned in a few lines, some people mistakenly believe the first English-language newspaper in Bahrain was the Gulf Mirror newspaper issued in 1971, which continued to be published until 1987, so we must acknowledge that record in history of the Bahraini press to clarify it.

The Bahrain Center for Strategic, International and Energy Studies (Derasat) participated in the Bahraini Sports Day, on Thursday, February 2, 2023, by organizing a series of events that included medical examinations, awareness lectures, a review of health behaviors, in addition to aerobic sports, and a group of different sports competitions with the participation of the center’s employees.
The Bahrain Center for Strategic, International, and Energy Studies “Derasat” hosted His Excellency Mr. Armin Laschet, Vice-President of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe, who delivered a specialized lecture on German-French relations post the First and Second World Wars and the lessons learnt from them in the Middle East. The lecture was attended by His Excellency Mr. Clemens Hach, the Ambassador of the Federal Republic of Germany to the Kingdom of Bahrain, and Mr. Emmanuel Mayer, the Premier Conseiller of the French Republic’s Embassy in the Kingdom of Bahrain. Additionally, several stakeholders and members of Derasat were in attendance. The event was held on Wednesday afternoon, February 1, 2023, at Derasat’s headquarters in Al-Awali.
