Bahrain Center for Strategic, International and Energy Studies – Derasat- and the Abba Eban Institute for International Diplomacy at the IDC Herzliya in Israel have signed a Memorandum of Understanding for research and scientific cooperation.

Derasat Chairman Dr. Shaikh Abdullah bin Ahmed Al Khalifa, Abba Eban Institute Head Ron Prosor and IDC Herzliya President and Founder Uriel Reichman attended the ceremony.

The agreement intends to establish a partnership in scientific research between the two institutes, with joint events and activities, information exchange, scientific research, publications, visits, and conferences, in addition to using and translating research.

Derasat Executive Director Hamad Ibrahim Al Abdullah, who signed the MoU for Derasat, said that the partnership is in line with Derasat regional efforts to expand its network of relations with leading research centers and enhance the reputation it has gained over the years that has strengthened its status within the community of scientific research centers.

Prosor, who expressed satisfaction in cooperating with Derasat for the benefit of the two institutes, said the memorandum would represent an important source of knowledge about regional security challenges in the Arabian Gulf, in which Derasat specializes and is a major reference.
