In a bid to consolidate efforts in conducting studies and scientific research, the Bahrain Center for Strategic, International and Energy Studies (Derasat) signed on Wednesday 27th October 2021 a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Bahrain Chamber.
Signing on behalf of “Derasat”, Chairman of the Board of Trustees Dr. Shaikh Abdulla bin Ahmed Al-Khalifa, and on behalf of the Bahrain Chamber its Chairman Mr. Sameer Nass, in a ceremony held at the headquarters of the Bahrain Chamber in the presence of officials from both sides.
In this regard, Dr. Shaikh Abdulla bin Ahmed Al-Khalifa voiced pride in the cooperation between “Derasat” and the Bahrain Chamber, which centers on joining efforts and resources to achieve mutual goals and contribute to the development march of Bahrain in line with the ambitious vision and aspirations of the leadership. He also underlined the importance of research in fostering innovation and stepping-up development.
Similarly, Mr. Nass commended “Derasat” on its pioneering standing amidst research centers in the Arab region, expressing pride in the cooperation between Bahrain Chamber and Derasat and confidence in the outcomes of such cooperation. Mr. Nass reinstated the keenness of the 29th board of the chamber in studies and research, hence launching the chamber’s Studies and Initiatives Center. He added that the Center conducted with over 30 study and report, which provided an accurate picture of the state of the economy and the performance of different sectors, pointed out obstacles and opportunities, and proposed solutions. He stressed on the importance of unifying efforts to achieve the sustainable development goals of Bahrain, and fulfil the ambitious vision of the leadership.
It is worth mentioning that the MoU stipulates cooperation in conducting studies and research, sharing data and resources, holding joint functions, and reinforcing knowledge transfer between both sides.
