The Bahrain Center for Strategic, International and Energy Studies (Derasat) participated in the sixteenth edition of the MEDays Forum, held from 27 – 30 November 2024, in Tangier, the Kingdom of Morocco, and organized by the Amadeus Institute. This year’s theme, “Thinking for Acting”, brought together a diverse group of leaders, stakeholders, and experts to address critical global challenges and promote actionable solutions.
Dr. Hamad Ebrahim Al-Abdulla, Executive Director of Derasat, represented the Center at the forum and actively engaged in two key sessions. The first session, titled “The Ethical and Legal Responsibility in the Uses of Artificial Intelligence”, focused on the pressing global need for ethical guidelines and legal frameworks surrounding artificial intelligence. Dr. Al-Abdulla articulated the necessity of establishing responsible standards for AI deployment.
In the second session, “The Strategic Importance of Investment in Education and Innovation: Toward a Sustainable Future for Humanity”, Dr. Al-Abdulla emphasized the transformative power of education and innovation in achieving sustainable development. He highlighted how strategic investments in these sectors internationally can address pressing societal challenges and create opportunities for future generations.
Throughout the forum, Derasat engaged in fruitful discussions with various stakeholders, reinforcing its commitment to fostering strategic dialogue on issues of regional and global significance. Dr. Al-Abdulla’s participation underscored Derasat’s dedication to exploring innovative solutions and promoting collaborative efforts in research related fields.
