Investigating the preferred travel destinations for the Bahraini community is considered highly important, as it reflects cultural and social trends, highlighting potential impacts through cultural interaction with other peoples. Studying travel destinations is also relevant to the economic dimensions, as it involves an indirect import process leading to the outflow of money from the kingdom. The information gathered can contribute to the understanding of prioritized facilities in Bahrain, placing them on the map of tourism assets in the kingdom to encourage domestic tourism. This, in turn, strengthens the elements of the domestic tourism product and enriches domestic tourism plans.

In conjunction with the summer vacation and the travel season, the idea of conducting a study on travel preferences within the Bahraini community during this vacation emerged. The study aims to identify the following:

  1. Travel plans and destinations among the study sample.
  2. Key reasons that may deter individuals from traveling.
  3. Opinions of the study sample regarding summer events and activities in the Kingdom of Bahrain.
  4. The budget allocated for travel and methods of covering its costs.
